Recently, Zowell delivered two VNA Man down three-way forklifts to a well-known domestic power tool company's logistics warehouse, helping the client unlock the potential of vertical storage.

Project background

The client is a well-known domestic electric tool manufacturer specializing in the production and sales of power tools. As its business continues to grow, the variety of goods stored in its logistics warehouse has become increasingly complex, making the existing logistics model inadequate to meet the customer's diversified logistics needs. How to increase storage density and accelerate inventory turnover within limited space has become the core challenge facing the client.

Project difficulties

The operation channel is wide, but the storage space is severely insufficient.

Before the renovation, the shelves were arranged in a "wide passage, low density" manner, resulting in a low number of storage locations and inability to meet the increased storage demands, making it difficult to enhance the storage efficiency.

Low storage accuracy and prone to cargo damage:

The driver's field of vision is limited, and the alignment of the forks is entirely based on experience. During the operation, there may be incidents such as incorrect pallet picking, tilting of the goods, and collisions with the shelves. This not only poses safety risks but also makes it difficult to significantly improve the efficiency.

Advantages of the Zowell Plan

After thorough investigation, the client finally chose Zowell Intelligent Forklifts. They introduced two VNA Man-down three-way forklifts and, following Zowell advice, upgraded the storage rack design.

1) 1.75-meter ultra-narrow channel, enhancing storage density

Zowell VNA Man down three-way forklift is specially designed for narrow aisles and high-level warehousing. The minimum operating aisle width is only 1.75 meters, which can save nearly half of the aisle space compared to traditional forklifts. Within the same area, more shelf rows can be arranged, significantly increasing the storage capacity.

2) 7.5-meter high-level access, with high-definition camera assisting the operation

The two units of three-way Man down forklifts delivered have a maximum lifting height of 7.5 meters each. High-definition cameras are installed at the forks. When performing high-level stacking, the driver can quickly determine the height of the forks through the display screen and align them with the pallets/locations, thereby further improving the accuracy of goods retrieval and storage.

This configuration significantly reduces the operational difficulty and cargo damage risk of high-altitude operations, and even novice drivers can quickly master it and operate precisely.

3) Three-way electric fork, one-button direction change for greater efficiency

Both of the two Man down three-way forklifts are equipped with three-way electric forks. It takes less than 10 seconds to complete a 180° rotation of the forks. Without having to turn the vehicle, they can perform storage and retrieval operations on both sides of the shelves, saving a lot of time and significantly improving the efficiency of inbound and outbound operations.
