Project Background
Recently, Zowell Forklift successfully delivered a three-way forklift to a customer in the new energy battery industry, helping the customer overcome warehouse logistics bottlenecks with a high-density storage solution design.
Project Difficulties
l The warehouse previously used a floor-stacked storage model, which resulted in large occupancy areas, disorganized goods placement, insufficient storage density, and an inability to meet the gradually increasing inventory demand.
l New energy batteries are not only large in size but also heavy in weight per unit, making them difficult and time-consuming to handle with existing forklifts, resulting in slow response times during peak periods.
l Ground-stacked storage makes it easy for goods to become unstable and there are no fixed passageways, posing safety risks during logistics operations.
Zowell Advantages
To address the issue of limited warehouse storage space, we designed a 7-meter-high shelving system based on the warehouse height restrictions, increasing storage capacity to over 1,000 units. The minimum operational aisle width required for the three-way forklift is just 1,650 mm. Equipped with a three-way electric forklift head, it can perform 180-degree turns in narrow aisles and access shelves on both sides of the vehicle. With the support of the Zowell narrow aisle solution, the customer has reduced the required aisle area and significantly increased storage capacity compared to the previous ground-stacked storage model.
The maximum load capacity of the three-way forklift is 1.6 tons, making it easy to handle heavy battery transport. The mast is made of German imported channel steel, which makes horizontal transport smoother and prevents the load from falling off at high positions!
With the help of buried magnetic strips, the vehicle can move quickly and steadily in a straight line without the driver having to control the left and right directions. The maximum speed in the aisle is 9.5 km/h. This not only reduces the driver's workload, but also makes it easier and more efficient to get in and out of the warehouse, improving overall order efficiency!
