After the first 11.5 m VUE was put into operation, the customer quickly recognized its performance and purchased two additional 13.8 m VUE Man-Up Three-Way Forklifts, which were delivered in July.
From the initial trial to repeat purchase, the three forklifts are now working together to support the customer's warehouse transformation—helping the company move away from floor stacking, expand storage capacity, and improve picking efficiency.
The customer is a manufacturing company specializing in the R&D, production, and sales of pipe fittings, with a large number of SKUs.
As the business continued to grow and orders became increasingly diverse, the warehouse gradually became overcrowded. Blocked aisles, difficulties in locating products, and slow order fulfillment became major challenges.
To address these issues, the customer decided to introduce Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklifts and upgrade its entire warehousing system.
Under the traditional floor-stacking model, products were stacked on top of each other, increasing the risk of product damage.
As the business expanded, the available floor space was quickly exhausted, making it difficult for forklifts and operators to move freely.
The warehouse had essentially reached its storage limit.
With numerous product specifications and models, the floor-stacking system lacked systematic location management.
Finding and picking the right products was time-consuming, making it difficult to respond quickly to customer orders.
Products were often stored wherever space was available, while outbound orders were fulfilled based on proximity rather than inventory sequence.
As a result, batch management became difficult and First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles could not be effectively implemented, creating additional challenges for product quality control.
To address these challenges, Zowell developed a customized solution combining high-bay narrow-aisle racking with VUE Man-Up Three-Way Forklifts.
After the first 11.5 m VUE was put into operation, storage pressure was significantly reduced and picking efficiency improved.
Impressed by the results, the customer decided to purchase two additional 13.8 m VUE Man-Up Three-Way Forklifts.
With three VUE forklifts working together, the warehouse has been transformed from traditional floor stacking into a modern storage system featuring high-density high-bay storage and efficient order picking.
After the first 11.5 m VUE was introduced, 8 rows of racking created approximately 2,800 pallet positions, allowing a significant portion of the floor-stacked products to be moved into high-bay storage.
Following the successful implementation, the customer added two 13.8 m VUE forklifts, supporting 9 additional rows of racking × 8 levels × 50 pallet positions per level, creating another 3,600 pallet positions.
Together, the three VUE forklifts enabled approximately 6,400 pallet positions in total.
Compared with the previous floor-stacking model, the warehouse's storage capacity increased by approximately 40%.
The upgrade not only helped resolve the problem of insufficient storage space, but also reduced product quality risks such as pipe fitting deformation and sealing ring damage caused by stacking pressure.
The VUE Man-Up Three-Way Forklift allows the operator's cab to travel vertically with the forklift, enabling the operator to access goods at high levels directly.
With one operator and one forklift, high-level put-away and order picking can be completed efficiently.
This significantly reduces picking time and improves overall order response speed.
With the transition from one VUE Man-Up Three-Way Forklift to three units, the customer has progressively moved toward systematic storage and inventory management.
Products can now be categorized and stored in designated high-bay locations, while FIFO and batch management can be implemented more effectively.
As a result, inventory management has become more organized and transparent, while potential quality risks have been significantly reduced.
Through the combination of high-bay narrow-aisle racking and Zowell VUE Man-Up Three-Way Forklifts, the customer successfully transformed its warehouse from a space-constrained floor-stacking operation into a high-density, efficient, and better-organized storage system.
With approximately 6,400 pallet positions and a 40% increase in storage capacity, the solution demonstrates how VNA technology can help manufacturers make better use of warehouse space while improving picking efficiency and inventory management.
